Emily is an interesting, beautiful, charismatic individual. She has this gorgeous red hair. Her hair does not lie about her temper either. She has a fast, furious temper that gets the better of her right now. As you go farther down you see her eyes, which are a sharp contrast to the red of her hair. They are brown as dirt one moment, then the dark green of an evergreen tree the next moment. Looking into her eyes, you see a little girl that loves life and loves her family. Her eyelashes, thick and dark, extend past her eyebrows, accenting her eyes beautifully. With pale skin she looks like a porcelain doll, but her skin holds up to the sun very well. If this fair skinned diva gets sun burnt, all she has to do is sleep that night and she will have a beautiful tan. I know I might be slightly biased because she is my daughter and she is my first, but she is a beautiful child inside and out.
Underneath her outer beauty, this diva of the family can be the biggest troublemaker you could know. With her being twenty months old I understand where this energy and vitality comes from, but it can be exhausting. She is always into everything. She is very intelligent but she uses this intelligence to find any way to drive us insane. She can’t sit still for even a minute. The only time that she will sit or lie down is if you hold her down when she is tired. Emily has shown that she loves music. She loves to dance to it, head bang to it, and she will drum on anything. With her always being on the move, she has become proficient at climbing everything that she isn’t supposed to. Her favorite thing to climb has been the stairs. The past time of choice is sticking her head between the bars in the railing, until it gets stuck and she has to cry for help. She has also found another place to get her head stuck, in the entertainment center. Emily does believe that she is the queen of the house; just seeing how she walks around you can see that. Her cousin Terran came over Friday night and she asserted her authority. She beat up her cousin who is almost two years older than she is. This little diva is the princess of the house. Someday she will be a queen, but not yet.
I have been watching my daughter in a different light lately. I have started to see what she will probably be like when she gets older. She is friendly to everyone she meets. Just watching her I know that she will make friends very easily. Hopefully she will be more successful than I am at making friends. I want her to have a life full of possibility, and I think that she will achieve that. Watching her dance around like a fool makes me see that she is very talented. She is very full of life and I think that will help her with everything that will come towards her. Seeing her happy makes me want to give her every opportunity that I can to help her achieve whatever she wants in life. It has been very interesting watching my daughter in a different light than what I usually do. I will cherish this experience as a way to better understand her and myself.
